((Mia only))
Jack walked up to his daughter's door, sighing as he knocked. "Sweetie? Are you in there?" His daughter's tenth birthday was tonight, and he needed to tell her some heart-jerking - well it would be for her anyway - news. He had to tell her that Max wasn't coming to her birthday party. That the one person she really wanted to be there, wouldn't be.
Cautiously Jack opened the door and walked in. He was a bit scared, as his daughter's true form would take shape tonight. He looked around the room, which seemed to be empty, and softly whispered "Selma-Lynn? Sweetheart, Daddy has some news to tell you..." He only wanted for her to be happy, not sad or angry.
Downstairs, the halls, kitchen and living room were adorned with streamers and ribbons, and tons of pink for a princess theme. He knew his baby girl had wanted a different theme, something that would fit who she was now, but Jack had gone against that and done the princess theme instead. Iridessa had even made a cake that looked like a princess for the occasion.
He continued to walk around until he found Selma-Lynn. He knelt to her height and smiled, looking her in the eyes. "Baby girl, I have news for you, about Maxie" he said softly. He had on a sad face, even though he wasn't sad for him. He was sad for his daughter, his baby... He reached forward and pulled her into a hug. "I love you, okay? No matter what happens, baby girl, Daddy will always love you."
