'It was known in the werewolf world that the Greystone pack had been alpha-less for a few months. The old alpha had died, and the son had been out searching for a mate. The Greystone pack was a wolf pack of Royal warriors, they were bred for war and were trained in battle from pups. They were hardy and without a leader they had survived well. They were lucky that their alpha was back. The son of the late alpha had returned home when he heard the news and had taken control of his pack but without a mate. He craved for one' - Alice closed the notebook. She sighed. She was on a mission herself to find her mate and had gotten a list of eligible bachelors. When she read about the Greystone alpha she laughed and moved on down the list. She couldn't imagine her being a mate to him - she had heard the vicious tales about him and his ways.
She had left her home after she had shifted and her ex boyfriend had 'left his mark on her'. She couldn't face her parents who had seen the tattoo but not what it was covering. She needed to move on in life.
She saw a big oak tree and smiled wide. This was perfect. She ran fast and jumped up the tree, up the trunk and into the leafy tree top. She made it to the top and stuck her head out of the leaves. Throwing up her arms she screamed loud and smiled. But her smile went once she heard the thunder of wolf paws and the increasingly loud panting. She gulped and hid in the tree. She must have stepped into pack territory and technically she was rogue now, so could be killed. She whined quietly.
