Hello everyone, it's Mia. I've noticed that a lot of the new people haven't heard of some of the unwritten rules we have here. I thought, because they were not put into writing that we should probably do that so they know (being that the actual rules have not been updated sense January and I know there have been many changes and a lot of things that we have as rules that we forgot to put onto the list).
Unwritten Rules
One:
Everything on here is rated PG-13
Just to let you all know what we mean by this is that no sex. We knot that people have their moments, as do your characters, but keep that stuff to private messages please. You can have heated make outs, and touching the body is alright, but don't get too intimate in the public rps.
Two:
Violence is okay (See description below)
Violence is fine, but just make sure none of the following are included:
- Excessively Detailed Rape
- Excessively Detailed Man Slaughter
Excessively Detailed Child Abused
Anything else is fine. If you feel that what you're writing might be too violent, contact an admin and we can tell you if it's okay.
Three:
Do Not Kill Anyone Else's Character Unless Given Permission Before Hand!
This should really be a universal rule with rp. If someone killed off your character without asking you, you'd be pissed off too wouldn't you? So please, don't do it to others. It's as simple as that.
Four:
Be Sure to Keep All Role Playing Threads Going (See description below)
What we mean by this is to not exceed without rping on a thread for more than 2 or 3 weeks unless you have informed the other rper(s). It is very rude to leave someone hanging like that. (I know from personal experience). If you're leaving or will not be able to post on the threads for an extensive period of time, be sure to let those who you're rping with as well as an admin and we will make sure that nothing happens to the threads, i.e. being moved to the archive.
(THIS MEANS EVERYONE *coughcoughREMUS*)
Five:
If you leave the site, take your characters or they will be taken from you
Apparently, I've heard of another unwritten rule that if you are leaving the site that if you do not take your characters you've created and then deleted the thread that says "Character Descriptions" (like the one that you created with the description of your characters) then they will be "put up for sale" and someone else will take your characters with or without your permission. This is just an informative rule so if you wish to keep your characters then you need to take them with you when you leave.
If there are any more rules that we feel need to be stated that have come as just unwritten ones, we will add it to this list. This list is just to inform the new roleplayers of some of our rules we've just come to understand through interacting with those on the site.
